The Quarter 2 swoop group spent a lot of time learning about composting and educating the student body on the proper ways to compost. The group made signs that display the compost cycle, how you can help the earth, and what can go in the compost bin.
The Swoop Group program at Laguna Blanca School has provided me with a platform to teach middle school-aged students about sustainable agriculture and I have encouraged them to think about the integration of computer science as it applies to nature.
This project was inspired by my implementation of a Farm Club on our Upper School Campus. In the Farm Club, we plant, harvest, and study plants to learn about sustainable agriculture and promote healthy living.
